iZotope RX 9

Environment

iZotope RX 9, VST2 plug-ins (only in macOS)

Problem

Wrong plugin GUI placement when plugin’s GUI scaling factor is changed.

Cause

iZotope RX 9 places plugin GUI at wrong posision.

Fix

Impossible in plug-ins, because this is iZotope RX 9’s problematic behavior.

Workaround

Close and re-open plugin window.

Digital Performer #2

Environment

Digital Performer, VST3 plug-ins

Problem

Plug-ins do not read automation.

Cause

Digital Performer does not send automation values at all.

Fix

Impossible in plug-ins, because this is Digital Performer’s problematic behavior.

Workaround

Any of

• Stick to VST2 or Audio Unit formats in Digital Performer.
• Avoid using automation in Digital Performer.

Environment

Digital Performer, macOS, VST3 plug-ins

Problem

Digital Performer crashes on exit if any VST3 plugins have been used.

Cause

Digital Performer employs unusual teardown procedure for VST3 plug-ins.

Fix

Impossible in plug-ins, because this is Digital Performer’s problematic behavior.

Workaround

Avoid VST3 plugins in Digital Performer.
